“I have no special talents, I am only passionately curious” – Albert Enstein
Einstein was able to change the world because he didn’t allow for others to stop his curiosity. He kept asking why and got to the root of each problem he was trying to solve. Imagine what would have happened if he would have listened to those who brushed his inquisitive nature off and retorted with “because that’s the way it is”.
When I was teaching preschool I made it my mission to engage in each child’s question of “why ?”, because I viewed it as a true sign that they needed to be more engaged on a topic. So often it’s our own impatience that stifles another’s need to learn.
Keep asking why and keep encouraging others to do so as well. It just might change the world.
